J.F. Gregory Park is the hub for most social activities for the City of Richmond Hill - http://www.richmondhill-ga.gov -, Ga. From the Great Ogeechee Seafood Festival, National Night Out, 4th of July Celebration, to Veterans Day Ceremony, JF Gregory Park is the place to be. Located just behind the City Hall of Richmond Hill. It is also the location or the City Center, a world class meeting venue, where the Rotary Club of Richmond Hill, the Exchange Club of Richmond Hill, Palmer Chiropractic, Women\'s Business Alliance, and many more meet on a regular basis.

This park is so beautiful and peaceful. It also hosts a lot of events throughout the year. The next event is the weekend of the 20th of October and is their biggest event of the year. The Great Ogeechee Seafood Festival. Music, food and fun are the usual occurance there. I enjoy taking my grandbaby and feeding the ducks and geese. They have fishing derbys for the kids and areas of the park are available for rental for birthday parties and such. The Veterans monument there is a must see and bricks can be purchased and engraved with a veterans name and info to honor their service. There is a walking trail through the wetlands and has birding towers, picnic tables and exercise equipment to use along the way. I think it is about 3 miles around the trail and is lighted and partially paved. Their wetlands education center is available for larger groups and has a full kitchen as well as an outbuilding with a large BBQ grill. I have to say The City of Richmond Hill really caters to it's community and the park has a lot to offer visitors.
